My taste in music has always been eclectic, but more recently ive been retreating into my own musical world instead of trying to listen to new music. The state of the recording industry is pathetic, and they have such a hard time figuring out why. Its funny that they cant figure it out when its right in fron t of their noses. Music for many years has had strong emotional ties to the people that produce it and listen to it, and when music fails to produce that strong emotional connection, it is obviously not good. Yet the recording industry continues to put out carbon-copy cds that follow the trend of popularity instead of actual musical talent. My list (or part of it) is: Avishai Cohen Iron and wine Tool Jandek Ray LaMontagne (sp?) Squarepusher I cant even bring myself to listen to fm anymore.
